You can register for GST even below the threshold. Whether it helps depends on who your customers are.

Pros

• You can claim input tax credit on your purchases
• Business customers prefer a GSTIN so they can claim credit on your invoices
• You look established and can sell on most marketplaces

Cons

You must file returns on time even with no sales, charge GST to customers (which can make you costlier to end consumers), and maintain records. If you sell mostly to individuals, the extra compliance may not be worth it yet.
