How to set payment terms that get you paid

Vague terms invite late payment. A few clear lines on the invoice make a real difference.

What to specify

• A concrete due date (for example 'due within 15 days') rather than 'on receipt'
• Any advance required before work starts
• The late fee or interest for overdue payment
• How to pay (your UPI ID / bank details)
