How the GST calculation works

To add GST, the tax is the amount times the rate. To remove GST from a GST-inclusive price, the base value is the price times 100 divided by (100 plus the rate), and the tax is the difference. For a sale within your state the tax splits equally into CGST and SGST; for a sale to another state it is a single IGST at the full rate.
